Crossroads Hospice Society has provided compassionate care since 1988 to those affected by the end-of-life experience. In partnership with Fraser Health, we operate the Crossroads Inlet Centre Hospice in Port Moody and provide grief and bereavement support to the residents of Anmore, Belcarra, Coquitlam, Ioco, New Westminster, Port Coquitlam and Port Moody. We also operates a thrift Store in Coquitlam and a Society office in Port Coquitlam. We are actively recruiting for the position of Executive Director.
The Executive Director is responsible for the overall management and administration of the Society, and setting goals and objectives for the Society's administration office and its lines of business. This position will lead the major activities of the organization and represent Crossroads Hospice Society to its stakeholders and the community at large. The Executive Director reports to the Society's Board of Directors and has authority and accountability under the Board's direction.
In managing the Society's operations and meeting its objectives, the Executive Director will provide leadership, direction, and guidance to the organization and its people. Major areas of responsibility include human resources, program and services planning and development, financial planning and management, and Board and external relations.
The normal work week is 37.5 hours per week including occasional evenings and weekends to attend meetings and Society-related events.
To meet the multiple demands of this position, the Executive Director will have strong communication, relationship, team building, facilitation, and networking skills with the ability to apply creative solutions to daily organizational challenges. The Executive Director will also have a collaborative leadership style and experience managing complex relationships with multiple stakeholders.
Candidates will possess related post-secondary education with greater than 5 years of experience in a senior leadership or management role preferably in a non-profit organization.
