Bob Tanaka President
Bob is a Chartered Accountant with over 20 years experience and is a principal with a national accounting firm in Coquitlam. He is an active community member and has served on various Boards throughout the Tri-Cities community. |
Jill Cook Vice President
Jill has been active in the Tri-Cities community for over a decade. She is currently the Executive Director of the Coquitlam Heritage Society. As a nursing student in the Municipal Hospitals of Winnipeg, the limitations of institutionalized care for the dying was a profound lesson learned early. Jill looks forward to working hard to ensure the continued success of Crossroads Hospice. |
Dr. Tony Taylor Board Secretary
Tony brings over twenty years of healthcare experience to his practice at both the clinical and senior management levels. Dr. Taylor is an Emergency Department physician working at RCH & ERH and is the President and Senior Consultant for Convergent Healthcare Consultants, a consulting company focused on quality and patient safety, clinical operations and leadership development. |
Jason Jakubec Treasurer
Jason is a local lawyer and an active member, and Past President, of the Rotary Club of Coquitlam Sunrise. He one of the founding members of the law group Lawyers West where he specializes in Business Law, Commercial and Real Estate, Employment Law, Real Property, Taxation, Wills & Trusts. |
Colette Eng Past President
Colette has been a Financial Planner with Westminster Savings for 16 years www.wscu.com; and is also active as a Visiting Volunteer at the Inlet Centre Hospice. She currently serves on several board committees, and supports Crossroads events by helping raise awareness of Crossroads Hospice Society. |
Catherine Burns Director
Catherine is the owner of IRM Training Solutions. Her career has encompassed education in various channels for over 30 years. Catherine brings a passion for Hospice care that was born when she was able to live with her Mom in hospice in Ontario. She participated in the Volunteer training and provided motivational workshops for the Hospice team. Her experience prompted her involvement with Crossroads and desire to support the awareness of end of life choices. |
Ken Catton Director
Ken is the Vice President and General Manager of Pacific Coast Terminals Co. Ltd. in Port Moody. Ken brings a background of administrative expertise and Board governance to the society. Ken feels that Crossroads Hospice itself is a very special place that he wishes to help continue thrive and prosper. |
Lisa Ebel-Wiebe Director
Lisa has provided consulting services for the BC Health Authorities, the Ministry of Health, the BCMA, crown agencies, Capital Health, and Saskatchewan Health. She brings twenty years of experience in service planning, process analysis, systems implementations, and project management, involving both clinicians and senior management teams. Lisa looks forward to contributing to the strategic direction of Crossroads. |
Diana Hiebert Director
Diana is a Certified Dental Assistant Instructor and has recently retired from Douglas College. As a new board member, she looks forward to giving back to the community and supporting Crossroads Hospice Society to meet their needs and goals. |
Natalie Lisik Director
Natalie Lisik is a Certified Disability Management Professional and is currently pursuing her MBA in Executive Management at Royal Roads University. She has a wide variety of work and volunteer experience that includes corporate and public affairs, human resources, labour relations, marketing, and health, safety and wellness in the private and public sector. Natalie looks forward to being a part of a society that provides programs to support individuals and their families. |
John Stubbs Director
John Stubbs is a retired professional historian and has served as a faculty member and President and Vice-Chancellor of SFU and Trent University and faculty member/administrator at the University of Waterloo. Currently, John is a member of the BC Degree Quality Assessment Board and the Village of Belcarra Board of Variance. John looks forward to contributing to the fine and much needed work done by Crossroads. |
John Suan Director
John, recently moved to Canada from Singapore, served as the Group CEO of Singapore Anglican Community Services and St Andrews Mission Hospital, the social services arms of the Diocese of Singapore. He also served on various board committees that helped enhance Board and Organizational governance and brings his expertise of private and public health to Crossroads. |
Peter Xotta Director
Peter is the Vice President, Planning & Operations for Port Metro Vancouver and the President of Modalink Distribution Hub Ltd. He is currently a Board Member of Canada Place Corporation, and has held board positions of the Pacific Rim Cruise Association, Tourism Vancouver, and Cruise BC Association. Peter brings his experience in business development, long term planning, and project management to Crossroads. |
