For over eleven years local musicians from across the Lower Mainland have joined us to help raise funds and awareness for the Crossroads Inlet Centre Hospice.

Today our “Unplugged at the Crossroads Hospice Coffeehouse” series is set in a causal atmosphere centered on acoustical performances from a wide range of musical genres.

Here's the 2010 schedule and performer bios for your review:

  • SEPTEMBER 12 - LOWRY OLAFSON
Lowry Olafson is a singer, songwriter and performer who has released nine CDs and tours worldwide. His live shows are an entertaining mix of heart and humour that leave audiences renewed and inspired. Lowry's fingerstyle guitar playing provides a compelling backdrop for his rich voice; his original songs, humourous anecdotes, and toe-tapping violin instrumentals invite listeners into a world that celebrates the poetry of life. www.lowryolafson.com

  • SEPTEMBER 24 - BUGSY JIVE
Bugsy Jive is an exciting Quintet with three lead instruments and all five members singing. Band members Devon Kazulin, Jamey Cloete, Kevin Penner, Scott Jorgenson and Matt Savourd perform an eclectic mix of southern rock to roots and blues. Come out and enjoy a night of music with Bugsy Jive. Listen to them at www.myspace.com/bugsyjive

  • OCTOBER 1 - THE CLUSTER BEES
We're a mix of old tymey, folk/rock eclectic music. We are (Dr.) Joy Masuhara on percussion, Lyndsay Ferguson RPN/RN on guitar, banjo and mandolin and Etty Thompson RPN on banjo and guitar.

  • OCTOBER 15 - LYNN CANYON
The Lynn Canyon Band is a lively, acoustic roots/folk band that offers up an eclectic repertoire of traditional and contemporary folk music as well as original tunes written by the artists. The band members, Paul Coulter-Brown, Bill Mullaly, Bob McMillan, and Julia Peters, are particularly noted for their effective harmonies combined with great guitar work and the driving rhythm of the mandolin and bass. If you've heard them, you know they make for a really enjoyable evening. www.myspace.com/lynncanyonband
