LAB WATCH SURVEY PROGRAM
The Lab Watch Survey Program is a pilot program designed to provide Crossroads Hospice Society volunteers and interested parties, with an opportunity to engage with the Crossroads Hospice Labyrinth Healing Garden. Participants in the program act as surveyors of the use of the garden and stewards for its pleasing appearance.
What does the program accomplish?
The Lab Watch Survey Program serves a three-fold purpose for the Crossroads Hospice Society by:
- Providing a unique volunteer opportunity for all ages
- Creating a means to collect data to help market the garden
- a way to track maintenance issues in the garden
It provides an opportunity for hands-on participation in activities that would appeal to a wide range of volunteers from middle school students to seniors.
What information is collected?
Volunteers are provided with a survey form that is designed to collect the following information:
- Name and details of volunteer or survey taker
- What day of the week the survey was taken
- What time of day is being documented
- Who was in the garden (men, women, youth, children)
- What where they doing (Crossroads events or Community events)
- Required maintenance or weeding to be done and reporting of vandalism
- Record comments or questions from users
Once complete, volunteers can return the form to our business office for tracking and to report any concerns.
If you are interested in participating in the program please contact our Business Office at 604-945-0606or email info@crossroadshospice.bc.ca .
